by

on Fri 25 Jul 2008 23:42 BST
We've done it!After a mammoth struggle, after crossing many borders, from Germany to Spain to Chile to England - and all to bypass the ridiculous over-priced strangle hold of the UK distributor.....finally, at long, long last...we've got Silflor back in stock. But, not just the old packs - we've gone a little bit better this time and have a total of 66 (Sixty Six) silflor products now on the shopping cart. The highlights of these are the loose grasses (all the colours and lengths in huge 50g packs),

SMALL packs:

these are 15cmx8cm strips that are only £2.75p-£3.00 and allow you to buy multiple colours and lengths without breaking the bank.... then we've got the Silflor Strips (full packs and Small packs)

and, finally we have two monster Sample packs:The first has 4 sheets of 6mm grass in all four colours (spring, Summer, Early Autumn and Late Autumn) that is priced at £15.84p saving you £4.16p over *you know where*.. but the bumper MEGA DEAL pack is this little beauty:4mm Two Springr grass, Tufts in Spring, Summer Early Autumn and Late Autumn PLUS Sprng, Summer Early Autumn and Late Autumn in 4mm two colour Strips. Now that little package would set you back £40.00 *on some other websites" but here? Well we've gone price mad and you can save a whopping £16.60p and get all that for just £23.40p!

Walls for 10/15mm
by

on Thu 24 Jul 2008 12:23 BST
We've added some of the Javis range of walling to the 15mm section by request. There are two types of solid wall "Dry Stone Walling" and "Rough Dry Stone Walling". The difference between the two being that the Rough version is slightly worn down with varying heights and missing blocks. Rough Dry Stone Wall Dry Stone WallThe wall sections are 150mm long Approx~ 17mm tall, 10mm wide at base (Rough version has a lower height varying from about 13mm to 17mm tall)The sections dont need to be painted as they are pre-coloured, but a quick dry-brush improves them tremendously. There is also a strip of flexible "stone" material which you can use to form into any shape, is approximately 4 foot long and about 10/11mm tall - this is very cheap and is useful for filling in complex shape areas with a low stone wall. It's rather cheap & cheerful but its hard to go wrong for £1.25p.

Crates, buckets, barrels, doors and windows

on Tue 08 Jul 2008 16:37 BST
We've uploaded the first sets of the Fantasy & Historical scenery section (for 25mm - 32mm) now, which can be found here: To start with we have five sets of Hirst-Arts items, then the start of our own selection including leaded windows, bay windows, doors and so forth. Double-sided metal-cast windows will be added shortly along with an expanding range of windows and doors as well as other scenic components. All resin items are pressure-cast as usually which ensures that the very finest detail is picked out during casting - this enables us to produce the extreme detail such as the leading in the leaded windows, reliably and without flaws or air bubbles. Most pieces are drop-cast and as such you may need to sand flat the bottom/back of doors and windows etc.Packs start around £3.00

Aves now in stock

on Tue 08 Jul 2008 16:23 BST
We have added a larger range of Aves products to the store which can be found here. These include 4 colours of the excellent Aves Apoxie Sculpt in the 1lb and 1/4lb sizes, the Aves Paste and the safety solvent. Prices range from £3.00 to £12.99.Aves Apoxie is a synthetic clay which acts very similar to green stuff/brown stuff and other epoxies such as magic Sculpt. Aves can be smoothed with water, drilled and wills and without clogging up sandpaper and it is an excellent material for making models and scenery/terrain.Aves is extremely well known in the USA but is fairly new to the UK; its well worth trying it out though for making anything from sci-fi models to sandbags to zimmerit.
