Dear Customers....
Please note that we are away on holiday for the period Tuesday 14th July until Thursday 30th July 2009.
We apologise for
any inconvenience but as we are a family-run business (and the whole
family is going on holiday!) we have nobody to look after the shop
whilst we are away!
The store will still be open for orders during that period however the first dispatch date for orders during that time will be Friday 31st July, orders will be dealt with on a first come first sent basis.
The last date for dispatch before we go on holiday is Monday 13th July at midday, orders after that will not be sent until Friday 31st.

This is a heads-up that we are now in the process of creating and moving to an entirely new website during this summer.
Our current website is now staggering badly under the weight of orders and it can be difficult to locate certain items. As such the new website will be introducing a number of new features and advancements. Firstly it will enable us to list items under multiple categories, so Woodland Scenics items will be found under their manufacturer title (woodland scenics) as well as being located in their individual category, such as flock, talus or similar. Secondly there will be a fully enabled search function that will allow you to search any and all items and link to that exact product. The site will also feature faster searching and product location as well as a more logicla layout of products. There will now be a loyalty-scheme for all registered members as well as other membership benefits such as receiving emails when a product comes back into stock, viewing your entire order history and more. You will be able to checkout without singing up as a member, however you will not be able to view postage costs until you have entered your address details - this was something we wanted to avoid but it simply was not possible so, sadly, you will need to enter your delivery details to pull up postage costs, too make this easier though we have added full postcode address searching as a new feature, and anybody who makes an account will not need to enter their details again as it will be recorded by the system. All in all we believe that this will add a large amount of features to the customers that should make shopping with us a lot easier, it also enables us to contact you directly via circulars for product enhancements, competitions, product details and stock status: all key areas where the existing system is less than stellar. We hope to have more news and a date when the site will be active sometime around the end of July. Nadine Sunday, June 21

Silflor English Ivy
Silflor/MiniNatur Ivy is a stunning addition to the MiniNatur range which produces an extremely authentic natural looking cover for walls, trees and elsewhere. The Ivy is a double-sided strip roughly 5.75" long and 1.75" wide. Please note that this small pack size is sometimes incorrectly shown as 6"x4" on some sites. The Ivy is double-sided in that it has leaves on both sides of the branching material, but it does not fold out into a single-sided material as do some of the other Silflor small-pack materials. As such if you this this marked as 6"x4" on other websites then that information is incorrect. Other UK stores are selling this at £5.75p per pack, our price is a much more reasonable £4.25p a whopping £1.50p or 26% cheaper! ![]() What's it like? Well it is VERY good, it's a fantastic size for 25-30mm figures and is a very natural shiny dark-ivy green in colour with a nice backing material for making a bulky ivy look. In terms of individual leaf style then it is superior to our own Ivy product, however its not as cheap. At the 'normal' UK retail of £5.75p I would be struggling to recommend it but its much more affordable at £4.25p and well worth it for any of you doing dioramas or display figures.

Hi all,
We've made some changes to how we produce our resin items and what constitutes an "in-stock" item: As we have become steadily busier it has become almost impossible to keep items in-stock, so rather than trying to maintain stock-piles of items we are switching over to casting-on-demand. What this means is that we will set our stock levels of the items that we produce but not cast them until they have been ordered by you the customer. Generally this means that we can get the items cast the same day and in most cases within 3 days at the most. During exceptionally busy periods you might get a delay of up to 5-7 working days, but that would not be usual. I think that this compares favourably to other companies that have anything up to a 28 day turn-around and except when exceptionally busy we don't anticipate any long delays in turning around your orders. If you have date sensitive order - such a birthday present or items needed to finish a commissioned work, then please add that information into the "additional information" box when placing your order. We will then do our best to expedite your order. We will keep an eye on this new system and see if it produces any issues and please feel free to drop us a line with any comments.

We are now stocking the new Mig Fantasy Pigments.
![]() "MIG Productions have released a range of weathering pigments specifically developed for use with science fiction and fantasy craft and to create effects on resin and metal figures. The colours can also be mixed with plaster to make terrains and dioramas. Mixed with gloss and satin varnishes the colours offer convincing viscous textures such as 'slime' for aliens and zombies. Five complimentary products are also available for use with the pigments: Acrylic resin, thinner for washes, pigment fixer, gloss varnish and oil and grease stains. MIG Weathering Pigments are available in: Rocket Exhaust, Martian Dust, Lunar Dust, Volcanic Ash, Zombie Green, Graveyard Dirt, Plasma Burn and Metallic Silver and as 4-jar pigment sets." These are an excellent set of pigments for use with either fantasy or sci-fi models and figures and very well worthwhile buying by modellers and wargamers alike. Note that the multi-packs come with a set of instruction on how to get the best from you pigments. Individual pots are priced at £3.30 (RRP £3.68p) and the Sets are £14.39 (RRP £15.99) You can find these new pigments along with MIGs other pigments on our Weathering page here:

Hi everyone,
We are experiencing a few problems with customers ordering large items and then choosing the small BagIt size packages for their postage even when there is no reasonable chance that the order will fit in to a small bag. Please take note of the BagIt sizes, which are shown on the shopping basket pages, and if in doubt then drop us an email before placing your order. Also bear in mind that these are essential just large plastic envelopes and are thus not suitable for bulky items such as seafoam, large sheet materials and so forth. the BagIt sizes are as follows: Bagit Small 235mm x 335mm Bagit Medium 305mm x 420mm Bagit Large 395mm x 480mm Bagit Extra-large 490mm x 540mm

Hi everyone,
Just a little note to say that we are incredibly busy at the moment and have been ever since Xmas. Whilst this is excellent news as we're obviously stocking the items that you want, it means also that we are struggling to keep up with the Post. At the moment it can take up to 3 working days before we can handle your order: we are striving to get this back down to 1 working day but the sheer volume of orders that we are currently experiencing means that we simply cannot maintain that high turn-around at the moment. This remains a WIP as i have some panel-line detailing to finish off, a few bits of smoothing and that sort of thing, buts its mostly done now...oh, need to finish the wheels off with more tread.
Its inspired by the British Army Jackal (hence the name) and a few dune-buggy type sci-fi drawings gathered off the net... and intended as a recon-vehicle I've generally thought that the open cab approach was a bit vulnerable so made this a "Mini-APC" with room inside for 4 seated plus the driver - add the 3 on the back and you can squeeze in a full section (typically though it would be 4-man total). The rear gunner will be standing on a small step to use the shoulder mount Gauss-gun - We haven't finalised that step and gun though as we want to add two seated passengers plus the gunner figure, so we're leaving some space for manoeuvring of their positions and changes to the rear parts of the Gauss-gun. Kit will be resin and white metal (so far 13 parts metal, 6 resin + 4 resin wheels + 2 rods for axles) - obviously some bits on these images are stuck on with blu-tak so are out of alignment etc - as I say, its still a WIP. No idea on price yet until it's finished and the metal casting has been costed up etc etc. This is the first vehicle to be specifically tailored to our figures at 30mm (so will work with infinity and most other "28mm heroic" figures) Eta around April-May (More images in the sci-fi vehicles photo album) Monday, January 26

Hi everyone, as I am sure you are aware the value of Sterling has dramatically fallen against the Euro and hte US Dollar. This has made it impossible for us to continue with some items at their previous prices and as such some items either have, or will shortly, be increased in price.
Items that have already gone up are Silflor and Discworld figures (bewteen £0.25p and £2.00 and abour 50 pence on thee Discworld figures). Products that will be increasing include: Deluze Materials, Faller, Noch, NWSL and Grandtline. We will keep the price increases to a minimum amount but with a shift of between 28% and 30% in the relative worth of sterling we have little choice in increasing prices to compensate. We will of course keep displaying the RRP where available and be trying our best as always to keep prices under the RRP. Thursday, January 22

We will produce an initial range of around 60 miniatures that will include soldiers, technicians, civilians, pilots, riders and robots. There will be 12 figures in the initial release that we hope will be available at the end of Spring. The figures are sized at around 32mm to the top of head (28/29 to eye) and are comparable in size to Corvus Belli's excellent Infinity figure range. The initial batch of figures is currently being sculpted and over the new few weeks and months we will be releasing artwork and WIP images to show how they and their colleagues are developing toward production and release. Alongside the figures we will be tailoring all of our new sci-fi scenery and vehicles to match the figure scale and to be part of the universe created for the figures. We will also be going back over existing scenery and vehicles to bring them in-line with our universe as well as having the entire range re-painted in appropriate colours and decals. Later in the project we will release plans and tutorials for constructing your own scenery stylised for our universe but generically suitable for many other futuristic wargames. This will allow the gamer to be able to complete a board populated with soldiers, citizenry, robots, vehicles and buildings designed from start to finish to produce a seamless and fully integrated environment. Details of that universe will be available from a new website which we will publish later in the year and will contain a wealth of background information on the troops, technology and history. It should also give you an idea of what you might see later in the range and give you a feel for what combat and life is like in this new universe. This will all be a steady drip-feed of new items and information in a way that we hope will not impact detrimentally on our ability to continue to supply the gamer and modeller with top-notch products. So don’t expect a non-stop deluge of new figures but do expect a steadily growing catalogue that we hope you will be able to enjoy either within our universe or within your own chosen game universe. We will keep you apprised of developments via the blog here and, when completed, via the dedicated website which we will link to later when it is available. For now we will leave with a WIP image of two of our troopers which will give a first glimpse into the unique style of weaponry and armour that will be available throughout the range. ![]() Above image shows armoured troopers with a UD pistol and PE-Rifle.

Antenociti’s Workshop Ltd is now a VAT registered company.
This means that all prices on the store are inclusive of VAT (Value Added Tax) which is currently set at 15%. VAT is due to be paid by anybody ordering from within the EU (except Euro VAT registered companies which can chose to exclude VAT charges). If you are from outside of the EU then the prices that you see on the website are 13% MORE than you will have to pay. When you place items in to the shopping basket you will see the ACTUAL price that you will be charged. For example: If you are in the USA and want to buy the Uncharted Seas Dwarven Battleship then the price on the website shows £4.00p – but when you put this into the shopping cart (assuming that you have selected your country of origin as USA!) you will see that the price you will be charged is actually only £3.48p. Just to make things a little more confusing some items – such as books – do no have VAT levied on them. As such these items will remain at the price shown on the website (which has no VAT on it in the first place). Postage is also inclusive of VAT, however we have made the non-european postage rates zero-rated – in other words if you chose a postage option for outside of the EU then the price shown is the total price and no VAT had been charged on it. What does this all mean? For those within the EU all the changes really mean is that you now see a portion of your order showing the VAT – you are not paying anything more than previously though and our prices have not gone up! For non-EU customers the changes effectively mean that you get a 15% discount on nearly every item in the store… because you are not eligible to be charged VA. So that will mean your prices will be 13% less than the advertised price on any items that include VAT (e.g. not books). What do I do if I think I am being charged VAT and I shouldn’t be? Please get in touch with us immediately on customer services@barrule.com Obviously we have had to make a lot of changes to the store to accommodate the various elements of VAT and its quite possible that we have made a mistake; missed adding your country to the non-VATble list or similar. Whenever you are unsure its best to drop us an email (or ring us) and ask before placing the order.

A big hello to everyone and Happy New Year!
We are now back at work after our Xmas break and have started on the backlog of orders that has built up over the holiday period - it will probably take the whole of this week for us to catch up as we have been rather overwhelmed with orders over the vacation period. Another minor-ish problem is that this morning Jed managed to slice off the end of his index finger whilst cutting up sheet materials! This will cause an unavoidable delay in casting and the cutting of Mat-O-Wars as it takes both of us to cut them and he is obviously out of action for a few days at least until nature does it wonders and grows him a new fingertip! We are, as you have probably noticed, very low on stock and we will be placing orders immediately to bring stocks back up to decent levels immediately; it will take a few days for supplies to reach us though and some imported items wont be back in stock for a couple of weeks at least. |
